Description:
The aim for the assignment was to take something that is over packaged, reduce this packaging and make it sustainable for the environment. The packaging for this PlayStation 5 controller has been reduced from a large box to a thick cardboard-like wrap that surrounds the main body of the controller. The wrap displays all necessary info that a consumer might need to know on the front and back. There is a tab with a hole near the top so the controller may hang of in store shelving.

Process:
This what a fast project so sketching was minimal. Sketching was primary used to keep track of the dimensions of the controller. Paper mockups became vital for the creation of the wrap. Using a Cricut cutting machine helped speed along the process for these mockups. Once a dieline shape was found that fit the controller snugly, graphics were applied and it was sent to the cutting machine. Once cut the wrap was placed on the controller and fashioned together with glue dots for adhesion.
